The Oakland Raiders best season in two decades came to screeching halt on Saturday when their MVP candidate quarterback was carted off the field with a leg injury that turned out to be a broken fibula. Carr knew what it was right away.
“It’s broke! It’s broke!” he can be heard saying (rather calmly) to his teammates immediately after being sacked by Colts defensive end Trent Cole.
Imagine being so accustomed to horrific injuries that you can maintain enough composure to self-diagnose a broken fibula as it happens. That’s like identifying the shark species that just attacked you.
