The Oakland Raiders have won a football game in the NFL this year. Kudos. And luckily, the Philadelphia 76ers have been so bad, that people have sort of turned a blind eye to the poor play of the Raiders as a team. But Jim McElwain, the newly hired head coach of the Florida Gators, reminded us just how bad the Raiders are in his introductory press conference on Saturday.
wowch RT @GatorZoneChris: McElwain on his NFL experience: 'Some would say I didn't coach in the NFL. I coached w/Oakland Raiders." #Gators

That wasn’t even the most off-topic comment during the presser. Somehow, Evil Knievel came up.
"@DrewsView: Guy at Gators presser just asked McElwain if he was influenced by Evel Knievel because he was from Montana." Love it!

To which McElwain responded, “I learned not to ride motorcycles and not jump over cars.”
He also promised that he could win with his dog, a poodle, at quarterback.
McElwain on QBs: "You gotta understand this, I think I can win with my dog Clarabelle." (Jeff Driskel's ears perk up.)

McElwain on his dog: "You oughta see how quick she is. She can really go, now."

And something that fans will all enjoy, McElwain joked that he’s down to do some tailgating during the bowl game.
McElwain joked may tailgate at #Gators bowl game since won't be coaching. Asked Machen if like to join him setting a grill up.

It seems the newly hired head coach is right at home.
Jim McElwain has an ill-fitting suit, bad hair, and talks about stray dogs. He's SEC already.
