Biggest surprise of the NFL season so far? Has to be the Oakland Raiders, who are actually looking efficient, dangerous and generally good. One big weapon is wide receiver Amari Cooper, shown below reeling off a 52-yard TD reception from Derek Carr to give Oakland a 30-3 lead over the Chargers late in the second quarter (it’s now 30-6 at halftime).
Whatta move: that’s some Sith-level Dark Side powers right there.
Cooper has four catches for 117 yards and a touchdown in the first half.
His TD made him the third NFL rookie since the 1970 merger with 500 receptions through his first six games — joining Randy Moss and Anquan Boldin, according to the NFL.
