Earlier this week, we took a closer look at the NFL schedules for all 32 teams and found a trio of quarterbacks with good schedules for Fantasy Football. But now, we’re all about finding tough QB Fantasy Strength of Schedules for 2017, so you can use this information to sort your cheat sheets accordingly!
It’s not that we’re saying don’t draft these quarterbacks no matter what – but we are saying that if you have a couple quarterbacks that are similarly ranked, this should help. Say you realize one has a horrible Fantasy Strength of Schedule, and the other has one of the best ones for quarterbacks, then maybe you’ll make a better decision.
By the time the NFL Preseason rolls around, we’ll have covered all of these Fantasy Strength of Schedules:
3 Running Backs With Favorable Strength of Schedules
3 Running Backs With Tough Strength of Schedules
3 Wide Receivers With Favorable Strength of Schedules
3 Wide Receivers With Tough Strength of Schedules
3 Tight Ends With Favorable Strength of Schedules
3 Tight Ends With Tough Strength of Schedules
We’re not going to point out the super quarterbacks with bad schedules that you were already drafting really high. For instance, just because the Colts have the 27th-ranked Fantasy Strength of Schedule for quarterbacks, we’re not recommending you steer clear of Andrew Luck.
We’re also not going to point out QBs you were never thinking about starting, either. For instance, you don’t need another reason not to draft Jared Goff. But if you do, his Fantasy Strength of Schedule is the 30th-toughest in the league.
3 Tough 2017 Fantasy Strength of Schedules For Quarterbacks
We’ll be taking our Fantasy Strength of Schedules from the research done over at FFToolbox.com. I used the Fantasy SoS for Weeks 1-16, since that’s the normal length for Fantasy Football leagues.
There’s a lot of Fantasy heat on Carr this season, as Fantasy Football owners expect he could make a huge jump in the rankings by season’s end. Unfortunately, the Raiders have the absolute toughest Fantasy Strength of Schedule for passing games in 2017.
Carr also just signed a hefty 5-year, $125 million extension, which we’ve seen in the past could be something that predicates a struggling season on the field. Ask Joe Flacco!
Is 2017 the year Carr finally throws for over 4,000 yards and 30 touchdowns? Possibly, but it’s going to be tough with that AFC West schedule.

There are few quarterbacks out there with as many weapons at his disposal as Rivers, but a closer look shows it’s not quite as great as we might think. His running game is great, but Danny Woodhead is now in Baltimore. His star wide receiver is coming back from a serious injury, and his next most talented wide receiver is a rookie that’s going to need to break into the starting lineup. His Hall-of-Fame tight end is closer to 40 than 30, and Antonio Gates’ protégé is still just in his second year. No matter how much you loved that rookie season out of Hunter Henry, remember that very few were big Hunter fans before last season.
The Chargers play the NFL’s top-ranked pass defense (Broncos) twice, and they also have to deal with the Bills, Jaguars and Patriots, who all performed well against the pass last season. The Raiders are the only other team with a tougher Fantasy Strength of Schedule for quarterbacks.

Carson Wentz, Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles have the 28th-ranked Fantasy Strength of Schedule for quarterbacks, which could make it tough for sophomore QB Carson Wentz to take his next step. The team brought in superstar wide receiver Alshon Jeffery and an excellent deep-threat complement in Torrey Smith, but they won’t be able to dominate if he remains inaccurate. Also, the Eagles brought in LeGarrette Blount to help the running game, which should mean more rushing touchdowns in 2017.
With a schedule that includes the Broncos, Bears, Cardinals and Seahawks defenses, Wentz – and his Fantasy owners – could be in for a long 2017 season.
